D. in economic sciences, economic historian, assistant professor in the Department of Economic History of the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw, in A.D. 2016/17 – Bronislaw Geremek Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Human Sciences in Vienna.  He researches the history of Polish modernization, the trajectory of economic development of Polish lands and Central Europe, and the impact of weak institutionalization and economic pathologies (such as corruption) on economic development. He works with the Institute of Social Studies at the University of Warsaw, where he sits on the Scientific Council. He is also a member of the Scientific Council of the Migration Research Center. He is among the experts of the Sobieski Institute.
